Earth Day Clean Up 2007 A Brief History
 “Friends of Irondequoit Bay” founders organized their first event on Earth Day 2007. 75 enthusiastic volunteers helped to clean up the shoreline of Irondequoit Bay. This small cadre of people did a huge job! They removed 42 automobile tires, a ton of construction debris and filled 120 contractor bags full of trash!!! This Earth Day event sponsored by “Friends of Irondequoit Bay” attracted a lot of news media coverage. Our first event could not have been such a huge success without the help of our charter members and sponsors. |
